We went on a train. To nearly the top of the mountain! Who knew trains went up that high?! There was a pretty huge glacier there (and a hotel!) Then a cable car to the top of Flégère, seemingly held together with gaffer tape.

There were some nice looking clouds, so I took some photos. Then we went on a walk through an alpine forest. I was not amused when we got stuck part way up a mountain in a thunder storm. It's ok. I am better now.

It was our first morning and thus our first pastry. Does anyone fancy a drink at 3842 meters? Luckily the french are very good at building bars high up. I needed it to prepare for the ride down. It was terrifying, but gave stunning views.
